The Punny Pages

The pun is the ultimate word play. It forms the basis of a large percentage of the jokes we hear every day, so it has a special place in our hearts. We have begun with three champion puns: one with three punning words, another with two. We have never heard more than three consecutive pun words in a joke.

Word Fun

(E1)(L1) http://www.alphadictionary.com/fun/fun.html

Nothing is more entertaining than human languages. All humans speak a language regardless or their intelligence or IQ. We speak even if we can't speak. If we can't speak or hear, we speak with out fingers and if we can't see, we read our fingers. Fingers work just as well as tongues and lips. The magic is in how much we tell of ourselves when speaking, our minds, our histories, our societies. We generally speak unconsciously, that is, we focus on what we are saying and not how we are saying it. So when we begin examining how we speak, language itself (linguistics), very interesting insights emerge. On this page we will try to keep you in touch with the websites that explore all the fascinating facets of language. We are starting out small but will grow over time. Keep an eye on us.

"Language Removal project: stump-speeches without any words.
The Language Removal project edits political speeches to remove all the words, leaving only the uhs humms and errrs. They've got a page of California guberantorial hopefuls grunting and clicking -- it's cool, you can sort of make out their positions better this way."

As a part of our public outreach programs, Language Removal Services has here created the first "language-free" political debate. It is our hope that this will allow you to better understand the true positions of the candidates. Below, we present language removals of the leading candidates to replace Davis.
