She certainly does bewitch with her pointed buds which open into big, especially attractive blooms of a clear phlox pink in colour.
She sports vigorous, healthy & prolific growth; making her a very dependable garden cut rose & steady performer.
An old time favourite and a child of ‘Queen Elizabeth’.

Interesting little stories are behind a number of the other Miniature roses also. The unique coloring (a first among Miniatures) of a new seedling being groomed for introduction led to the selection of the name "Bewitched". Application for registration of the name was made only to learn that it had just been granted for use on Dr. Lammert’s new pink HT rose. Then the name "Toy Clown" was proposed - which we think was even more appropriate. "Toy Clown" was later (1971) given the ARS Gold Certificate.

Parent Queen Elizabeth has passed along most of her fine qualities including good health, vigor, and high centered pink flowers. The other parent, Tawney Gold brought the darker orangish coloration. And somewhere along the way the rose ended up with a fine damask fragrance. Altogether its a top notch flower.
It's not a rose one would plant to create masses of color. It is rather economical with its flowers, but they are worth waiting for - at least in warmer climates.
